Предыстория:

  • In late February, reports surfaced that Igor Komarov and Yermak Petrovsky – sons of two businessmen from Dnipro – were kidnapped on Bali.
  • It was reported that Petrovsky managed to escape, while Komarov was tortured and a $10 million ransom was demanded for his release.
  • Reports indicate that a photo with geolocation posted by the victim’s girlfriend, blogger Eva Mishalova, may have played a role in the kidnapping.
  • Videos have emerged online of Igor Komarov admitting his involvement in “Dnipro call centers” (fraudulent call centers).
  • He also claimed that Alexander Petrovsky (Narick) was responsible for the security of the call centers, earning $15,000 per month per office.
  • Komarov further alleged that employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, as well as the former and current governors of Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions, Serhiy Lysak, were also involved in the business. He stated that a network of “Devyatki” call centers operated in Dnipro under the patronage of “Narick” and Lysak.
