Mattel’s Barbie has unveiled its new “Dream Team” collection, celebrating inspiring women in honor of International Women’s Day. The launch features eight dolls representing remarkable women from around the globe and diverse fields.
Mexican race car driver Regina Sirvent is among the women selected for this new collection. The doll depicts the Mexican driver in her racing suit, complete with a pink helmet, embodying the Barbie style. Sirvent has made a name for herself in motorsports in Mexico, finishing in the top five of the NASCAR Mexico Challenge Series in 2025.
Late last February, the driver took to social media to express what it meant to her to be chosen by Mattel for a doll. “I never imagined having a Barbie inspired by me, let alone imagining that when a girl sees it, she can sense that there is as well a place for her on the tracks,” she said. She also encouraged girls to pursue their dreams and dare to try what they long for most.

According to a statement from Mattel, the Barbie “Dream Team” collection is part of a project to celebrate the stories of inspiring women who have achieved success in their professional fields, demonstrating to girls that they can aspire to any profession. The collection includes dolls of Serena Williams, the successful American tennis player; Kellie Gerardi, an American research astronaut; Chloe Kelly, a professional soccer player from the United Kingdom; Helene Fischer, a German pop singer; Zoja Skubis, a Polish climber; Stephanie Gilmore, an Australian professional surfer; and Smriti Mandhana, an Indian cricket player.
The Barbie “Dream Team” collection is part of Mattel’s initiatives for International Women’s Day. The celebrations will last a month and include collaborations with beauty, fashion, and beverage brands founded by women, as well as a festival, “Barbie Dream Fest,” which will take place from March 27 to 29 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
