Czech Republic goalkeeper Barbora Votíková has joined Arsenal Women on loan from Slavia Prague for the remainder of the season, the clubs announced.
The reigning Champions League titleholders add a seasoned international presence as they compete on multiple fronts. Votíková, 29, brings experience from previous stints abroad, having played for Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 and Tottenham Hotspur before returning to Slavia Prague.
“Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world with great players and fans. It’s a great honor for me to be here. It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait to get started,” Votíková said on the club’s website.

“We are delighted to have secured a goalkeeper with such experience, who will add competition to our goalkeeping ranks,” said Arsenal Women’s head coach Renée Slegers. “Barbora has experience in European competitions and the English league, and is a great addition to the squad for the second half of the season.”
Currently fourth in the Women’s Super League, Arsenal also remains in contention in the Champions League, having reached the Round of 16. Votíková will compete for playing time with Dutch international and established number one Daphne van Domselaar, who is returning from injury, and German goalkeeper Anneke Borbeo. She could make her debut as soon as Sunday in a league match against league-leading Manchester City.
