Barcelona controlled the first half. The team created numerous opportunities, taking 12 shots, hitting the woodwork twice, and squandering clear chances through Raphinha and Yamal. The Brazilian international was among the standout performers for the Blaugrana.

Girona, had limited possession and only two shots, but still posed a threat on two occasions with Vanat. Joan García denied one attempt, while another promising opportunity went begging with a missed shot.

The key moment of the first half came just before the break: a penalty. Yamal stepped up to take it, but his effort struck the crossbar. The teams went into halftime tied at 0-0.

The second half began at a frantic pace. In the 13th minute, Cubarsí finally broke the deadlock for Barça, following a cross from Koundé. The defender rose above the defense and headed the ball past Gazzaniga to offer his side the lead.
