Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz stunned Real Madrid 100-89 on Sunday, February 22, 2026, to claim the 2026 Spanish Copa del Rey title. The victory at Roig Arena in Valencia marked Baskonia’s first Copa del Rey win in 17 years.

  • Real Madrid started strong, but Baskonia battled back to tie the game at 26-26 at the end of the first quarter.
  • The second period saw Real Madrid build a 10-point lead, but Baskonia responded after halftime, largely thanks to the shooting of Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot.

Trent Forrest was named the tournament’s MVP after a stellar performance in the final, contributing 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 11 assists.
