Battlefield 6 Season 2 Roadmap Revealed
The season is divided into three phases, mirroring the structure of Season 1. The first phase, “Extreme Measures,” kicks off the updates, with subsequent content releases planned monthly. While a firm end date for Season 2 hasn’t been announced, it’s anticipated to run for three months, concluding around May.
Prepare for Gas Warfare: “Extreme Measures” Arrives

Launching on February 17, “Extreme Measures” introduces the “Contaminated” map, set in a mountainous region of Europe. The map is designed for large-scale battles with both ground and air vehicles.

A key feature of this phase is the limited-time “VL-7 Strike” mode. “VL-7” refers to a gas weapon that, when encountered within the map, induces hallucinatory visual and auditory effects on players. This innovative mechanic adds a new layer of tactical complexity to the gameplay.

Players can counteract these effects by equipping a gas mask, which will be automatically added to their equipment menu during the event. REDSEC will too feature limited-time modes, including “Gauntlet Altered State” and “Battle Royale Synthesis.”

- A belt-fed LMG excelling in close-quarters combat.
- GRT-CPS (Semi-Automatic DMR)

New Gadgets in Phase 1

- HTI-MK2
- An anti-gadget gadget for the recon class, capable of detecting enemy gadgets, suppressing enemy reconnaissance drones, and destroying enemy rockets.
Vehicle Addition: AH-6 Little Bird

The agile AH-6 Little Bird helicopter will also be added to Battlefield 6, available on various maps. Its maneuverability allows it to navigate even confined spaces, adding a new element of chaos to the battlefield.
