Oregon State Women’s Basketball to Host Exhibition Game Sunday
Oregon State women’s basketball will hold its first public practice of the 2025-26 season on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Gill Coliseum, giving fans an early look at a team poised to defend its WCC Tournament Championship.
The exhibition game will be against NCAA Division II Alaska-Fairbanks, who are under new leadership this season. Fans will have the opportunity to see nine returning players from last year’s championship team, as well as several new additions to the roster, including transfers Néne Sow and Lizzy Williamson, and three international freshmen from Australia and Spain. A notable connection for fans will be seeing Marney Rees, sister of Oregon State alumna Kelsey Rees, on the Nanooks’ roster.
The Beavers boast a remarkably stable roster, having retained all players from last season – a rarity in the current landscape of collegiate athletics where the transfer portal has seen significant movement. Three Oregon State players – Catarina Ferreira, Tiara Bolden, and Kennedie Shuler – were named to the WCC Preseason All-Conference team, highlighting the team’s anticipated strength. However, Ferreira will miss the 2025-26 season due to injury. Oregon State currently ranks fourth nationally in the number of international student-athletes with 10.
Sunday’s game is free to attend, with general admission seating available outside of courtside. No live stream, radio broadcast, or live stats will be available. The Beavers will officially begin their season November 7 against Corban, with the game scheduled for a 3 p.m. tip-off on ESPN+.
