The Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation is bolstering its support for oncology patients with a new program offering art expression workshops and calming experiences. This expansion of services aims to address the holistic needs of individuals navigating a cancer diagnosis, recognizing the importance of emotional and mental wellbeing alongside medical treatment.
The activities will be held in Cowansville in collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Édith Cambrini, and are open to both patients and their caregivers. Providing support for family members is a crucial component of comprehensive cancer care.
The first five workshops are scheduled for March and April 2026 and will be specifically designed for those impacted by cancer.
Participation is limited to residents of the Brome-Missisquoi region currently receiving cancer care, or who have completed treatment within the past three months. This regional focus ensures resources are directed to the community the foundation serves.
