The Beckham family is navigating a public rift, as Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly cut off direct contact with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, following his marriage to Nicola Peltz.

Brooklyn Beckham alleges that his parents have been overly involved in his marriage and that his mother has attempted to create conflict between him and his wife.
“My wife has been constantly subjected to negativity from my family, despite our efforts to unite,” Brooklyn wrote on his social media. “My mother repeatedly brings up women from my past, causing discomfort.”
He further claims that his family prioritizes publicity and brand image above all else. “Beckham is the primary focus. Family love is determined by social media posts and how quickly you show up for family photos, even if it clashes with our careers,” he added.
Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly blocked his parents’ accounts on social media. British media outlets have amplified the drama, suggesting Victoria Beckham never fully approved of Brooklyn’s marriage to Nicola, which took place in 2022.
A key point of contention was the couple’s absence from David Beckham’s 50th birthday party in May 2025. Brooklyn stated that he and Nicola had planned to attend, but were allegedly turned away by his parents.
“My father rejected all our attempts, except for his large 100-guest birthday party with cameras everywhere. When he finally agreed to meet with me, on the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited, it felt like a slap in the face,” Brooklyn explained.
Initially, Brooklyn expressed a willingness to reconcile privately with his parents, but currently, he says he is enjoying his newfound “freedom.”
“For the first time in my life, since distancing myself from my family, the anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I’ve chosen, and I’ve found peace and relief,” he shared.
“My wife and I don’t want a life dictated by image, the press, or manipulation. We simply want peace, privacy, and happiness for ourselves and our future family,” the 26-year-old concluded.
