The Prince shared the announcement and a first glimpse of his daughter on Wednesday via Instagram, posting a photo of himself and Princess Anisha cradling the newborn. He expressed gratitude to the medical center involved in the delivery and thanked everyone for their well wishes.
The couple, who married in a lavish 10-day ceremony in early 2024, received widespread attention for the opulent celebrations. Images and videos from the wedding showcased the immense wealth of the Asian nation of Brunei. This birth further cements the family’s position as a prominent fixture in international society.
News of the arrival was first announced by official circles in the Sultanate of Brunei through the national broadcaster, RTB News, on Sunday, according to Liyalina. Al Jadeed also reported on the joyous occasion.
Prior to the birth, Prince Abdul Mateen had announced he was expecting a child, sharing a photo with Princess Anisha where she was seen wearing a flowing white dress and gently resting her hand on her stomach, as reported by Majalla Sayyidati.
