BTS’s Upcoming ‘Arirang’ Album Hailed as “Craziest Ever” by Producer Diplo

The K-pop supergroup BTS is generating massive anticipation for their fifth studio album, Arirang, set to drop on March 20, and now producer Diplo has added to the excitement. The long-awaited album marks BTS’s first release in nearly four years, and industry insiders are already predicting a major impact on the music landscape.

Diplo, known for his work with artists like BLACKPINK, Britney Spears, and Justin Bieber, revealed he contributed to Arirang during a Super Bowl LX party on Saturday. He described the project as “the craziest album ever” and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with the group. “I just feel so lucky due to the fact that I’ve been working for three decades and to link up with a group like that, and have them trust me and do some awesome music,” Diplo said, without specifying how many of the album’s 14 tracks feature his work.

“Honestly, it’s gonna shock the world,” he added.

Diplo also praised the members of BTS – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook – for their creative input and hands-on approach to the production process. “They’re so hands-on. They’re so creative. I can’t believe it,” he remarked. He specifically highlighted Jung Kook’s vocal talent, noting, “Jungkook no autotune. Perfect voice.”

Calling BTS “the real deal,” Diplo also lauded their rapping skills and even commented on their personal qualities, saying they “smell really good” and “they dance better than any of us.”

The buzz surrounding Arirang is already significant, and Diplo’s comments are sure to amplify the anticipation. BTS recently broke Spotify records, becoming the most streamed band of 2026, further cementing their position as global music icons.
