Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is set to cease operations. Following its removal from both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store in May of last year, Activision has announced the definitive shutdown of its servers, scheduled for April 17, 2026, approximately two years after the game’s launch.
Two Years of Challenges
The mobile title’s run can be characterized as a largely unsuccessful venture, despite finding some dedicated fans. The game aimed to bring the popular battle royale experience to mobile platforms, a segment of the gaming market that continues to see rapid growth and innovation.
Player numbers reportedly never reached anticipated levels, leading Activision to halt the production of new content.
In a statement, Activision expressed gratitude to both the developers who worked on the game and the players themselves, while assuring its community that seasonal content for Call of Duty: Mobile will continue to be produced. The closure of Warzone Mobile may have been influenced by its overlap with the existing Call of Duty: Mobile title.
The shutdown announcement reads, “The servers for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will go offline on April 17, 2026, after which the game will no longer be available. Until then, players will continue to have access to the game and enjoy existing content… The passion and feedback of players continue to shape the future of the Call of Duty franchise and we look forward to delivering seasonal content and significant updates for Call of Duty: Mobile.”
For fans of the game, Notice just two months remaining to play before the servers are permanently switched off.
