The Call of Duty franchise is preparing for a post-apocalyptic crossover. Activision announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone will receive a major update on January 8th, introducing a collaboration with Amazon Prime Video’s hit series, Fallout. The “Season 1 Reloaded” update will feature themed cosmetics, limited-time game modes, and a dedicated Battle Pass.
The collaboration will allow players to unlock Operator Skins inspired by popular characters from the Fallout series, including Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul, alongside classic Vault Dweller outfits. This partnership continues Call of Duty’s trend of collaborating with major IPs, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Squid Game, offering both free and paid Battle Passes with unlockable rewards.
The paid Battle Pass is typically priced around $10 USD (approximately 310 NTD) and will grant access to The Ghoul and Maximus Operator Skins. The Vault Dweller skin will be available through the free Battle Pass. Lucy’s Operator Skin will be sold separately as a bundle in the in-game store, with an estimated price of $20 USD (approximately 620 NTD).
Beyond cosmetic items, the update introduces three limited-time modes inspired by the world of Fallout. Multiplayer will feature “Ghoul Infection,” a new take on the classic infection mode with a post-apocalyptic twist. Zombies mode will receive “Project RADs,” a ghoul-themed experience. And Call of Duty: Warzone will host “Power-Armor Royale,” allowing players to battle it out while equipped with iconic Power Armor and mini-gun turrets.
Fan-favorite map Nuketown, developed by Treyarch, will also receive a visual overhaul to match the Fallout aesthetic. The map will be redesigned to resemble a Fallout Vault, complete with mannequins sporting the series’ signature blue jumpsuits. The “Season 1 Reloaded” update will also include new weapons, multiplayer maps, and mysteries hidden within Call of Duty: Warzone for players to uncover. This integration of popular franchises into gaming demonstrates the growing trend of cross-media synergy and expanded player engagement.
