Brooklyn Carjacking Leads to Arrests, Manhunt on BQE

Two men are in custody and a third remains at large following a carjacking in Brooklyn’s Dyker Heights neighborhood early today.

Police responded to a report of shots fired near 11th Avenue and Bay Ridge Parkway around 12:34 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 37-year-old man had been assaulted and his 2014 Toyota Sienna stolen. According to police, the victim was approached by three individuals who physically attacked him before fleeing in the vehicle. Carjackings have been a growing concern in New York City in recent years, prompting increased police patrols.

The stolen minivan was later located after it crashed on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway near Exit 18, where two suspects were apprehended. The third suspect managed to escape the scene and is currently being sought by authorities. The victim is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries.
