Catherine Fulop Becomes a Grandmother: Oriana Sabatini Welcomes Baby Gia!

Catherine Fulop is experiencing a wave of emotion as she becomes a first-time grandmother. The actress traveled to Italy to be with her daughter, Oriana Sabatini, for the birth of Gia, the singer and soccer player Paulo Dybala’s first child.

The baby arrived on March 2 at the Hospital Gemelli in Rome. Although the birth was initially expected on March 11, it came several days early, just as Oriana’s family arrived in Europe to support her.

Fulop shared her excitement, describing the moment as “Una locura, estoy como en llamas” – “a crazy, I’m on fire!”

The Venezuelan actress said the birth of her granddaughter was a deeply emotional experience for the entire family. “Lo que hemos vivido ha sido tan bello, tan grande… La verdad que es un milagro y hay que estar muy agradecido porque la vida y Dios nos han dado la oportunidad de vivir este momento de llegar a ser abuelos,” she expressed – “What we have lived has been so beautiful, so big… the truth is it’s a miracle and we have to be very grateful because life and God have given us the opportunity to live this moment of becoming grandparents.”

Fulop also noted the resemblance between the baby and her daughter. “Gia se parece mucho a Oriana,” she assured. “Es volver a tenerla en mis brazos a Ori. Estoy muy contenta” – “It’s like having her in my arms again. I am very happy.” The arrival of a new celebrity baby always generates buzz and Fulop’s joy is clearly contagious.

On social media, the actress generated excitement among her followers as she almost showed her granddaughter’s face, but ultimately decided against it.

Fulop has been sharing various moments of the birth and supporting her daughter throughout labor in Rome.
