His death has prompted an outpouring of grief from colleagues, friends, students, and admirers of his contributions to the world of dance.

The Lithuanian Dancesport Federation announced details regarding memorial services on its Facebook page. A viewing will be held at the Kaunas Cultural Center on March 11 from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and again on March 12 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The funeral procession will depart at 2:00 PM for Petrašiūnų Cemetery. A memorial mass will be held at 8:00 AM on March 12 at the Kaunas St. Peter and Paul Archcathedral Basilica.

According to a statement from the Lithuanian Dancesport Federation, the family requests that those wishing to honor Norvaiša’s memory contribute a single white flower. This request reflects his bright spirit and the elegance he brought to the art of dance.

Norvaiša’s wife, Jūratė Norvaišienė, shared that his passing was sudden and unexpected. “Everything happened unexpectedly, at home. He probably didn’t show how he was really feeling, that he was unwell,” she told news portal Lrytas. She also noted that he had recently been discharged from the hospital after treatment for health issues, including problems with his lungs and heart.
