During a visit to Ireland in 1995, Charles’ press team reportedly warned that Diana and her team were “the more aggressive and skilled” side in the media battle, according to an Irish official in a document from the Department of Foreign Affairs. RTÉ and the PA news agency were among those reporting on the information, which is set to be made public in January.
Charles and Diana married in 1981, and their connection was initially seen as a fairytale marriage – but it later developed into one of the biggest crises in the British royal family. The couple separated in 1992, followed by an unprecedented feud.
