Leandro Hernández scored the lone goal for Colo Colo in the 44th minute, showcasing impressive dribbling skills to beat several Huachipato defenders and slotting the ball past goalkeeper Christian Bravo. Bravo had previously made three key saves against Maximiliano Romero and Lautaro Pastrán, but couldn’t deny Hernández’s strike. The goal secured a crucial victory for Colo Colo as they aim to secure the Chile 3 spot for the 2027 Copa Libertadores.
The win keeps Colo Colo at the top of the group, but with Coquimbo Unido also on seven points, the remaining three matches will be decisive for both teams. Only the group winners advance to the semifinals.
