Corrosion of Conformity Launches New Skateboards Line
Legendary punk-metal band Corrosion of Conformity (C.O.C.) today announced the launch of COC Skateboards, a new line of skate decks reflecting the band’s long-held connection to skate culture and rebellious spirit.
In partnership with Volatile Skateboards, the decks are now available at cocskateboards.com. The band stated, “Skating and C.O.C. have always been synonymous. This is more than merch — it’s a movement. No compromise. No apologies. Just pure attitude.” This move allows the band to tap into a new audience while solidifying its brand identity beyond music.
The launch follows the release of C.O.C.’s rendition of FREE’s “Fire And Water” this past September, part of a series of studio jam sessions featuring interpretations of the band’s favorite artists, and a recent North American tour supporting JUDAS PRIEST and Alice Cooper. Formed in 1982, Corrosion of Conformity has released ten critically acclaimed albums, including 2018’s “No Cross No Crown,” which reached No. 67 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Recent lineup changes include the addition of Bobby Landgraf on bass and the departure of founding bassist Mike Dean, as reported by Blabbermouth.
Some recording sessions for the band’s forthcoming new full-length album took place at a private studio owned by Barry Gibb of the BEE GEES, and the album is slated for release next year. The band is currently focused on completing the new album and plans to continue touring in support of it.
