Chilean television personality Daniel Fuenzalida has opened up about his battle with addiction, revealing he sought treatment following a professional split.
Daniel Fuenzalida surprised fans this week with a candid revelation about a deeply personal struggle. The Chilean television host disclosed on “El Medio día” that he feared a relapse into drug use following a professional parting of ways with Rosario Bravo, and subsequently traveled to Brazil for intensive treatment.
Fuenzalida, widely known as “el exHuevo,” enjoyed a successful 2024, starring on TVN’s “Ahora Caigo” and co-hosting the podcast “¿Cómo están los weones?” with Bravo. However, the new year brought unexpected challenges when a potential lucrative contract with Mega was jeopardized by controversy.
The conflict arose after Bravo accused Fuenzalida of financial misconduct and of registering the podcast’s trademark in his name, sparking widespread speculation within the entertainment industry. “It’s been a very difficult year for me, trying to cope with a situation that has been very complex,” Fuenzalida confessed on the TVN program.
He emphasized that addiction is “a very treacherous illness” and described his trip to Brazil as a crucial step in preventing a relapse. “I came through it successfully, and good things followed,” he said, adding that he’s not dwelling on the past and is ready to embrace new projects after 25 years in the business.
