Kojima Productions, in collaboration with Nixxes Software, has announced that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be available on PC on March 19, 2026. Pre-purchase options began today on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The highly anticipated sequel offers players a new set of tools, weapons, and vehicles as Sam Porter Bridges embarks on a mission to connect Australia to the Chiral network. The game builds on the original’s innovative premise, exploring themes of connection and isolation in a post-apocalyptic world – a concept that resonated with players and critics alike upon the first game’s release.
Players will face a variety of challenges, including combat, stealth, and navigating natural disasters such as earthquakes, sandstorms, and forest fires, all whereas contending with the destructive Timefall. The return of the Social Strand System will allow players to interact with and influence each other’s game worlds.
The PC edition of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will feature support for Ultrawide monitors, including 21:9 and 32:9 resolutions, all in 4K. Players can also choose between full mouse and keyboard support with customizable keybinds or DualSense controller integration with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Audio options include 3D Audio via Dolby Access, DTS Sound Unbound, and Windows Sonic for Headphones.
Kojima Productions also confirmed that new modes and features will be launching on both PC and PlayStation 5 at the game’s release, providing players with additional challenges and rewards. The development team worked with Nixxes Software to deliver what they describe as the definitive version of the critically acclaimed title for PC. Pre-purchase is now available on Steam.
