Denada explained that she made the difficult decision to separate from her son when he was an infant due to her own unstable mental state.
“At that time, my psychological condition was not suitable,” she said, her voice trembling.
The singer also expressed deep regret for waiting so long to be honest with Ressa.
“I also want to apologize to Ressa for only telling him now, after so long, that I am his biological mother. That was my mistake, that was my foolishness, that was my oversight, and I apologize,” Denada stated.
With the truth now revealed, Denada says she is placing her faith in her son’s willingness to forgive her and accept her as his mother, acknowledging she has much to learn in fulfilling that role.
“Right now, I can only pray and hope that Ressa will forgive me and accept me, his biological mother, with all my shortcomings and with the understanding that I still have a lot to learn to be the mother my children deserve,” she said.
Concluding her statement, Denada also extended an apology to her family, including her late mother, Emilia Contessa, and her siblings, hoping this step will allow her to make amends for past mistakes.
“I also apologize to the late Mama, and I also apologize to all my siblings. May Allah forgive all my sins and mistakes. Amen, Lord of the worlds,” she finished.
