The season finale of ‘Desafío del Siglo XXI’ delivered a surprising win for Zambrano and Miryan in a grueling race from Tobia to Cartagena. The victory came after a final stage that saw the duo overcome an initial disadvantage against Rata and Valentina, captivating audiences of the Colombian reality competition.
Following the dramatic conclusion, Rata and Valentina spoke about the events of the final challenge and the factors that ultimately determined the outcome. The final test involved completing the journey in the fastest time, following a preliminary challenge in the Box Negro.
A total prize pool of 1.2 billion pesos was divided into two equal portions. The first challenge, held in the Box Negro, awarded 600 million pesos to the competitor with the best performance – a prize claimed by Rata. The second portion, consisting of the trek from Tobia to Cartagena, offered another 600 million pesos and the championship trophy to the first team to reach the finish line, where Zambrano ultimately crossed first.
How Much Will Rata Grant Valentina After the ‘Desafío’ Finale?
During a post-show interview, Valentina addressed questions surrounding the division of the winnings. She explained that she partnered with Rata for reasons beyond financial gain. However, she revealed she had previously heard him mention his intention to give her 100 million pesos, considering recent adjustments, and stated she would accept the amount if offered.
“We hadn’t discussed the topic with this 50% of the prize. We had touched on this topic, but with 100% of the prize, so we hadn’t spoken about this 50%, but rest assured I’m going to give her more than 100 million pesos,” the finalist said, addressing his teammate.
Prior to the Grand Final, Rata had indicated that, should he win the full 1.2 billion pesos, he planned to give Valentina 350 million pesos.
