Dinand Woesthoff Out? Joost Klein for The Voice?

A shakeup may be coming to “The Voice of Holland” as reports suggest Joost Klein could be joining the coaching panel, potentially replacing Dinand Woesthoff. The move is already raising eyebrows among industry observers.

The Flemish TV channel VTM made the decision to bring on Klein, a singer who previously garnered headlines in neighboring countries following his disqualification from the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Klein stated he is eager “to find the underdog” in the talent competition and “win together.”

However, not everyone is convinced this is a solid move. Entertainment boss Evert Santegoeds questioned the decision, asking, “Where do you even begin?” He continued in a podcast, “I think: where do you even begin? There’s no way to start a stable collaboration with a guy like that.” He added, “Maybe I’m wrong and I’ll humbly apologize after the finale, but I can also imagine it will cause a lot of trouble behind the scenes, because that guy just can’t be controlled.”

Concerns about Klein’s behavior extend beyond the studio. Santegoeds referenced an incident at the Song Contest where Klein “aggressively approached a camerawoman who was filming him backstage,” advising the camerawoman to “not film him when he just gets out of that chair.”

Aran Bade, a personality from RTL Boulevard, also expressed reservations. “It’s smart if you want to create a stir, but it’s not without risk,” Bade said. “It’s like pouring a bottle of tabasco on your food: if there’s too much, you’re in trouble and have to put it out.” He described Klein as “a bit of a free spirit” whose independence “can gain out of hand,” noting that similar issues arose at the Song Contest when AvroTros “lost control.”

The potential coaching change comes after Tina Nijkamp’s name surfaced in connection with the indicate, as reported on De Telegraaf on February 15, 2026. The news highlights the ongoing dynamics within the competitive world of reality television and the careful balance networks strike between seeking ratings and maintaining a stable production environment.

On January 23, 2026, an Instagram post showed the coaches of “The Voice of Holland” getting off to a good start, including Tina Nijkamp, though it also noted Joost Klein “clearly still needs to get used to” his role as a coach.
