Luxury fashion house Dior has opened its newest flagship location, the House of Dior Beijing, in the city’s bustling Sanlitun district. The building represents a significant investment by Dior in the Chinese market, a key region for the brand’s global strategy, and further cements its presence in one of the world’s most dynamic luxury consumer landscapes. Designed by acclaimed architect Christian de Portzamparc, the five-story structure is a striking architectural statement intended to immerse visitors in the world of Dior, showcasing the full range of the Maison’s offerings from haute couture to fragrance and fine dining. The opening event, held on April 26th, drew notable figures from fashion, art, and entertainment, highlighting the importance of this landmark for the brand.

Dior has unveiled the House of Dior Beijing, a stunning new landmark in the heart of the Sanlitun district, solidifying the fashion house’s long-standing connection with China.

The five-story building, designed by architect Christian de Portzamparc, is a sculptural masterpiece. Its facade is adorned with petal-shaped shells, reminiscent of the draping techniques Christian Dior employed in his haute couture gowns. Vertical surfaces are punctuated with handcrafted golden glass tiles – a color historically reserved for the emperor and his family in China, representing a contemporary and elegant tribute.

The ground floor showcases the latest handbags, shoes, and women’s accessories, while the second floor features women’s ready-to-wear, jewelry, and fragrances from La Collection Privée. Dedicated spaces are also devoted to menswear, fine jewelry, Dior Maison objects, and timepieces, each offering a distinct ambiance. The top floor echoes the iconic 30 Montaigne address, complete with a spiral staircase leading to a space conceptualized by OMA, presenting the brand’s signature white toile in a three-dimensional installation. Rounding out the experience, the Monsieur Dior restaurant, located on the garden level, celebrates the French art de vivre alongside the world’s most Michelin-starred female chef, Anne-Sophie Pic.

Paying homage to Christian Dior’s early ambition to become an architect, the House of Dior Beijing reveals a series of unique spaces. These interiors blend cabochon parquet flooring, signature caning, and golden accents with artwork, designer furniture, and black-and-white photography. This opening underscores Dior’s continued investment in the luxury market and its commitment to creating immersive brand experiences.
