JAKARTA – Former Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo completed questioning by Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Friday as a witness in a probe into alleged corruption surrounding the 2024 Hajj quota. The case has drawn scrutiny as authorities investigate potential irregularities in the allocation of pilgrimage slots.

Ariotedjo left the KPK headquarters around 4:08 p.m. local time after approximately three hours of questioning. He stated that the focus of the inquiry centered on his role accompanying President Joko Widodo on a working visit to Saudi Arabia in 2023.

“The questioning largely focused on details from the working visit to Saudi Arabia,” Ariotedjo told reporters at the KPK building on January 23, 2026.
