Earning 20,000 on a luxury Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a complete fairytale, that’s just not how it works,” says Michal Ferenc, too known as Don Boss Bossov.
Michal Ferenc, a Slovak entrepreneur and influencer, was among the first to connect communities of athletes and car enthusiasts years ago. He has cultivated an image as a self-made man, someone who has built a successful business and achieved a lifestyle that others only dream of. Today, after years of success online—a period ironically interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic—Ferenc views his alter ego with perspective.
The Don Boss Bossov brand helps Ferenc sell primarily expensive luxury cars through Instagram, while on the Autobazar.EU portal, he and his partner Juraj Rybársky operate as RF Motors, a dealership based in Rovinka, near Bratislava.
Podcast host Erik Stríž questioned Ferenc not only about his beginnings but also about the impact of his influencer persona on his actual business, whether the automotive industry is the ideal space for wealth creation, the challenges involved in this activity, and the future direction of the Slovak influencer. Ferenc states that while it may appear to be achieving the “Slovak dream,” the reality is often different, and people shouldn’t judge individuals solely on how they present themselves online.
Beyond car sales, Ferenc also mentions organizing the Boss Race event and modern business ventures in the agricultural machinery sector. The automotive sector remains a key indicator of consumer confidence and discretionary spending.
In the interview, Michal Ferenc also detailed how he purchased an old VW Passat from Albanians using money he brought from Ireland hidden in his sock, why showcasing a luxurious lifestyle is important for sales, his views on modern electric vehicles, and whether it’s acceptable for young adults to buy used luxury cars as their first vehicle instead of newer, more economical options.
