The incident underscores the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces in combating illegal drug trafficking.

The chase began following a suspected drug handover in Rotterdam, according to reports. Police initiated a pursuit when the man sped away at speeds reaching 200 kilometers per hour (approximately 124 miles per hour). During the chase, the suspect intentionally rammed multiple police vehicles, putting officers at risk.

Authorities eventually managed to box in the vehicle on a highway near Rijsbergen, bringing the pursuit to an end. A subsequent search of the car revealed several kilograms of XTC pills, police said.
