A felszámolás alatt álló Ecometalex Recycling Kft. Több mint 500 million forint értékű fémkészletet árverez meg az Elektronikus Értékesítési Rendszeren, egy pályázaton, mely a csődbe ment vállalatok vagyonelemeinek értékesítésére jött létre.
Az Ecometalex Recycling Kft. Korábban Magyarország egyik vezető ipari hulladékgazdálkodója volt, és a 2020-as évek elején jelentős növekedést ért el. A vállalat 2023-ban felkerült a Budapesti Értéktőzsde BÉT50 listájára, amely a sikeres vállalkozásokat mutatja be. A cég növekedését egy 2020-ban érkező új tulajdonos lendítette fel.
A vállalat üzleti modellje az ipari hulladék felvásárlásán, válogatásán, osztályozásán és továbbértékesítésén alapult öntödéknek és fémfeldolgozóknak. A tulajdonos ambiciózus célokat tűzött ki, beleértve a betelepülő akkumulátorgyárakkal való szorosabb együttműködést a további növekedés érdekében.
A cég pénzügyi eredményei 2022-ig ígéretesek voltak, a forgalom a 2010-es évek végén mért 2-3 milliárd forintról 8,5 milliárd forintra nőtt. A vállalat négy év alatt több mint 2 milliárd forint adózott profitot termelt. However, signs of financial difficulties began to emerge, with insufficient cash flow to cover supplier debts.
Despite its earlier success, Ecometalex faced increasing enforcement actions starting in 2023, including those initiated by the tax authority. The company ceased publishing annual reports in 2024, and in October of the same year, the court ordered its liquidation. This downturn coincided with a decline in the company’s online reputation, as numerous individuals reported unpaid invoices, some exceeding several thousand euros. The company’s website is now inaccessible, and previously listed phone numbers are no longer in service.
The company’s owner was previously featured in news reports regarding a separate company within the same group, which purchased a multi-million forint villa and attempted to add an extension without proper permits, according to reports.
The proceeds from the auction of the metal scrap will be used by the liquidator to repay the company’s debts, or at least a portion of them. The auction includes approximately 3,000 tons of steel, 400 tons of stainless steel, and 40 tons of aluminum scrap.
Requests for comment sent to the company’s owner regarding the reasons for the liquidation have not yet been answered.
