This decision comes in response to directives from the Central Bank of Egypt, which were in effect until mid-2025. It’s part of a broader strategic shift, as the central bank previously raised the maximum daily cash withdrawal limit from bank branches in April of last year.

The modern regulations maintain the maximum daily withdrawal limit from ATMs at 30,000 Egyptian pounds, while now allowing millions to deposit larger sums around the clock without the hassle of waiting in bank branches.
