Aicher did not respond to the disrespectful message, but her reaction shows that the silver medal is a victory in itself. She can now start the following races with confidence, having already achieved a major success.
Immediately before traveling to Cortina, Aicher impressed in the Super-G race in Tarvisio, finishing on the top step of the podium. The Olympic Super-G will be held on February 12. The silver medalist in the downhill is now a clear favorite for another medal.
