A heated brawl erupted after an amateur football match in England on Saturday, February 7th, prompting a police investigation. Authorities are investigating after a player and a coach were reportedly involved in the altercation with fans following a match between Pellston Town, and Drowlsden.

Footage circulating on social media shows a Pellston Town player involved in a physical confrontation with supporters after their team suffered a 2-0 defeat to Drowlsden. The incident occurred immediately after the final whistle.

The chaos didn’t stop with players and fans, as video footage also showed a member of the Drowlsden coaching staff throwing a punch at an individual on the pitch after being pursued by a Pellston Town player and others whose identities remain unknown, according to the Daily Mail.

Further footage captured a woman attempting to break up a fight before falling to the ground, with multiple individuals seen tumbling together in a muddy area before resuming the violent exchange.

The duration of the brawl remains unclear, but police confirmed they responded to a call at the ground and are investigating. The cause of the incident is currently unknown.

“We are investigating a violent disorder incident that took place at Pellston Town Football Club. We received reports of people being assaulted at around 5pm, we are examining all the circumstances of the incident and will be liaising with the victims to obtain full statements. We will also be reviewing mobile phone footage and CCTV,” a police statement read. Authorities are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Pellston Town acknowledged the incident in a statement posted on their official X account, saying, “We are aware of video or videos circulating from the aforementioned match and would like to confirm that these videos do not fairly reflect the game or the events of the day as a whole.”

The club added, “As a club, we are investigating all footage of the match and thank the supporters of Drowlsden for their cooperation.”
