Epic Games reported a significant surge in its user base and free game distribution over the past year, demonstrating the platform’s growing influence in the digital games market. The company revealed it provided 317 million users with access to its digital storefront, including 78 million monthly active users.

Throughout the year, Epic Games offered 100 free games to its users, resulting in over 662 million downloads. On average, each user claimed approximately 2.3 games, representing a value of $2,316 in free content per player. This strategy of offering free titles is becoming increasingly common as platforms compete for user attention and loyalty.

The company also noted that 77% of the games offered through its store saw a peak in concurrent players since their initial launch. Furthermore, 40% of those titles experienced a similar increase in player counts on Steam following their availability on the Epic Games Store.
