The game’s rapid ascent has provided a substantial financial windfall for publisher PlaySide. With estimated revenues reaching $21.4 million since launch, the company has already fully recouped its initial investments, including all marketing expenditures and milestone payments. This early profitability underscores the effectiveness of the title’s unique positioning in a crowded digital marketplace.
Developed by the Polish studio Fumi Games, the project began as a concept shared on X (formerly Twitter) before evolving into a full production. The game is distinguished by its striking visual identity, utilizing a black-and-white “rubber hose” animation style reminiscent of 1930s cartoons, such as those produced by Fleischer Studios and the early works of Betty Boop.
