Portuguese rock band Excesso has announced the cancellation of three highly anticipated concerts slated for December 2025 and January 2026 in Santa Maria da Feira, Braga, and Viana do Castelo. The band, known for hits like “Disperso” and their energetic live performances, cited unforeseen difficulties in maintaining the concert schedule, leaving fans of Gonzo, Carlos, Melão, Duck, and João Portugal disappointed. Refunds will be issued at the original point of purchase, according to a statement posted on the band’s official Instagram account earlier today.

Popular Portuguese band Excesso has announced the cancellation of three upcoming concerts scheduled for December of this year and January 2026. The news will undoubtedly disappoint fans eagerly awaiting performances by Gonzo, Carlos, Melão, Duck, and João Portugal.

The band shared a statement on their official Instagram page, reading:

“We regret to inform you that the concerts in Santa Maria da Feira, Braga and Viana do Castelo will not be held and are cancelled.”

The affected shows were slated for December 5th and 6th of this year, and January 10th, 2026, respectively.

“Unfortunately, and despite our best efforts until the last moment to make these dates possible, we had to make this decision, which is very difficult for us.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused to everyone who had already planned to attend the shows. Tickets will be refunded at the point of sale where they were purchased,” the statement continued.

“We appreciate your understanding and all the support we have received throughout the tour,” they added.

During a performance in Borba, a member of the band Vizinhos unexpectedly learned he had become a father. The baby arrived earlier than expected, as the artist explained to the audience.
