The visitors continued to press in the second half, creating a string of opportunities, but were unable to extend their advantage before the break.

Ferencváros nearly increased their lead immediately after the restart, but a brilliant save from Kovács denied Kanichowsky’s attempt. Midway through the second half, Dibusz, making his first league appearance since November 30th, was called upon to make a crucial save. Despite several attempts, Ferencváros midfielder Kanichowsky was repeatedly thwarted by the Nyíregyháza goalkeeper.
