Florence – A late goal from Moise Kean secured a narrow 1-0 victory for Fiorentina over Cremonese in Sunday’s Serie A contest at Stadio Artemio Franchi. Emil Audero,Cremonese’s goalkeeper,delivered a standout performance,repeatedly denying Fiorentina’s attempts to break the deadlock throughout the match. The result offers a modest lift for Fiorentina, who remain near the bottom of the table, while Cremonese maintain a mid-table position.

Fiorentina edged past Cremonese 1-0 in a tightly contested Serie A match on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Despite a strong performance from Cremonese goalkeeper Emil Audero, the visitors were unable to find the back of the net.

The match at Stadio Artemio Franchi saw Fiorentina immediately apply pressure. Nicolo Fagioli had an early opportunity in the 5th minute, but Audero was quick to deny the attempt.

In the 12th minute, Fabiano Parisi nearly opened the scoring for Fiorentina, hitting the woodwork with a header from a Luca Ranieri cross.

Two minutes later, Rolando Mandragora also tested Audero, but the Indonesian international goalkeeper stood tall once again.

Audero proved to be a standout performer in the first half, making several key saves, including denying Roberto Piccoli in the 18th minute.

Cremonese struggled to create meaningful attacks, with their efforts consistently broken down in midfield.

Fiorentina continued to threaten as halftime approached, with Albert Gudmundsson’s late chance also thwarted by Audero. The first half ended scoreless.

The second half saw Cremonese continue to absorb pressure from the home side. Fiorentina maintained control of possession and continued to push for the opening goal.

Luca Ranieri and a series of substitutions injected fresh energy into the Fiorentina attack, forcing Audero into further saves to keep Cremonese in the match.

The breakthrough finally came in the dying minutes, with Moise Kean scoring the winning goal for Fiorentina.

The goal originated from a cross that Niccolo Fortini headed towards the near post, initially saved by Audero. The rebound fell to Kean, who tapped it in from close range. Fiorentina secured a 1-0 victory.

The result sees Fiorentina move to 12 points, remaining in 19th place in the Serie A standings. Cremonese remain in 12th position with 21 points from 18 matches.
