Celebrating Inspiring Women

Flor Bromley is using her music to empower, and her latest album is garnering significant attention. ‘Herstory’ has been nominated for Best Children’s Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

My purpose has always been to educate through music, and I hope that through this album I can do just that and inspire youth with stronger women like those around me,” Bromley shared on social media following a Grammy nominations party.

‘Herstory’ blends musical styles with empowering narratives, celebrating the stories of extraordinary women who are making a difference around the globe. The album aims to show children that heroes come from all walks of life.

The album highlights ten stories of women from each continent who are making history in their respective fields, including writer Isabel Allende, singer Gloria Estefan, astronaut Emily Calandrelli, inventor Sahithi Pingali, activist Greta Thunberg, Olympic champion Fatuma Roba, and explorers Clare Ballantyne, Natalie Cobett, Lucy Bruzzone, and Mairi Hilton, as well as politician Louisa Wall.

This album I made for my daughter and for every child who deserves to see strong female role models represented in music,” Bromley said of ‘Herstory,’ which incorporates elements of hip-hop, pop, and ballads.

Music as a Catalyst for Change

Bromley, the daughter of prominent psychiatrist Carlos Bromley, is a mother of two and a well-established artist in the music scene. She previously received a Latin Grammy nomination in the ‘Best Latin Children’s Album’ category for her album ‘Aventuras,’ featuring songs in Spanish across various genres.

As a Latina immigrant, Bromley continues to build bridges between cultures and generations through her work. “I wanted to create songs that celebrate determination, kindness, and the beauty of diversity. For ‘Herstory’ to be recognized by the Recording Academy means so much, not only to me, but to everyone who believes that music can inspire change,” Bromley stated.

‘Herstory’ features collaborations with artists like Alphabet Rockers, Tony Succar, Jabali Afrika, Charu Suri, and Loopy Tunes Preschool Music.

The album was produced by Grammy winner Lucy Kalantari, who said: “It was an honor to create ‘Herstory’ with Flor. She is shining a light on women who are making a difference today, showing children around the world that if they can see her, they can be her.”
