Fortnite is entering unprecedented territory with its next major content update. Epic Games revealed yesterday a collaboration that blurs the lines between gaming and cinema, bringing a lost piece of Quentin tarantino’s Kill Bill to life within the popular online platform. Launching november 30th with Chapter 7, “Pacific break” will feature an expanded storyline – “Yuki’s Revenge” – utilizing footage cut from the original film and with the director’s reported approval. The move signals a growing trend of metaversal integration and is expected to attract both gaming and film enthusiasts to the evolving Fortnite landscape.

Fortnite’s latest season is set to redefine the boundaries of in-game collaborations, with an unprecedented partnership revealed yesterday evening at the Vista Theatre in Los Angeles. The game’s Chapter 7, titled Pacific Break, will launch on November 30th, just one day after the culmination of Chapter 6 – an event described as akin to an Avengers: Endgame-style finale for video games, packed with references and cross-overs. But the upcoming chapter will be marked by a truly unique event: the completion of a lost scene from Quentin Tarantino’s 1999 film, Kill Bill.

Specifically, Fortnite will bring to life Yuki’s Revenge, a deleted chapter from the iconic movie. This addition will feature footage originally cut from the film, depicting Yuki Yubari – the sister of Gogo Yubari (the chain-wielding schoolgirl who attacks Uma Thurman’s character in a restaurant) – traveling to the United States to avenge her sister’s death and confront Black Mamba. The storyline culminates in the destruction of the legendary Pussy Wagon vehicle. Quentin Tarantino himself has reportedly approved the integration of this content into the game.

HYPEX also reported on the unveiling of several skins inspired by Tarantino’s films, including one for Gogo Yubari, which will be exclusively available to attendees of the launch event in the United States.

Fortnite continues to demonstrate its ability to seamlessly blend virtual and real-world experiences, and this collaboration is expected to draw a new audience to the game – including fans of Tarantino’s work who may not have previously engaged with the platform. This move underscores the growing trend of metaversal integration within the gaming industry.
