Galactic Vault: Fast-Paced Roguelite FPS Release Date & Steam Next Fest Success

MeepMeep Games, a Belgian independent game studio, has announced that its debut title, Galactic Vault, will launch on PC (Steam) on March 10, 2026. The fast-paced FPS Roguelite is currently participating in the Steam Next Fest and a demo is available, garnering overwhelmingly positive reviews with a 96% approval rating.

Galactic Vault puts players in the role of a former VOLT agent tasked with infiltrating and looting high-tech vaults scattered throughout the galaxy. As players progress, the vaults grow increasingly challenging, presenting a variety of enemies and unique boss encounters that will test their reflexes and tactical planning. The game’s blend of action and procedural generation is indicative of the growing popularity of the Roguelite genre.

At the heart of the gameplay is a dynamic weapon system. After clearing each room, players can choose weapon modifications, upgrades, or firing modes, creating powerful synergistic effects. Players will need to utilize dashing, sliding, and shooting to overcome obstacles, continuously enhancing their abilities to become the ultimate “metal shredder.”

The development team states that Galactic Vault aims to both pay homage to classic Roguelite and arena shooter games while also introducing unique elements to the genre. The game is designed for near-infinite replayability, with real-time weapon modification during combat. With each run, players become stronger, learning new abilities and developing experimental weapons, with the goal of “liberating” advanced technology from greedy corporations and advancing to more heavily guarded vaults.
