Initially, Angga didn’t recognize the victim, but after sharing a short video of the accident in a motorcycle group he belonged to, several members identified the rider as Gary Iskak.
“I didn’t really know who the person was, but I recognized the motorcycle. I shared it in the group, and thankfully some people recognized him – it turned out to be Bang Gary,” Angga explained.
Angga said that at the time of the accident, Gary was riding his motorcycle from the Tanah Kusir area towards Bintaro. He was riding a Yamaha RX King alone and was not wearing a helmet.
“He was coming from the direction of the traffic light. Yes, from Tanah Kusir. The road was pretty empty at the time,” Angga noted.
“Bang Gary was driving the motorcycle himself. He wasn’t wearing a helmet,” he added.
Angga described that after the crash, Gary was found lying face down. He also observed blood coming from Gary’s nose.
“Last night, the impact was to the head,” Angga revealed.
Bystanders then transported Gary to Dr. Suyoto Hospital for immediate medical attention. “Last night, the victim was immediately taken to the hospital, transported by motorcycle,” he said.
The Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, stated that Gary is believed to have lost control of his motorcycle, causing him to collide with a tree and then be thrown from the vehicle.
“Initially, a Yamaha RX King motorcycle with license plate number B-6888-WDV was traveling from east to west on Jalan Kesehatan Raya in the Pesanggrahan area, South Jakarta. Upon reaching in front of Rainbow Car Wash, it hit a tree, resulting in a traffic accident that caused death and vehicle damage,” said Kombes Budi.
Gary was pronounced dead at the hospital. Budi expressed his deepest condolences over Gary’s passing and wished strength to his family during this difficult time.
“May the deceased be accepted by God and may his family be given patience and strength,” he said.
