Popular open-world adventure Genshin Impact will cease to be supported on the PlayStation 4 in 2026, developer HoYoverse announced today. Citing the game’s evolving technical demands, the company detailed a phased plan to discontinue service for PS4 players, beginning with storefront removal in September 2025 adn culminating in server shutdown next April [[2]]. The move reflects a wider industry trend as game developers increasingly focus resources on current-generation hardware.

September 10, 2025: Genshin Impact will no longer be available for new PS4 users through the PlayStation Store.
February 25, 2026: In-game purchases on the PS4 platform will be disabled. Any previously purchased but unused content must be redeemed by this date.
April 8, 2026: PlayStation 4 servers will be completely shut down, rendering the game unplayable on that platform.
OYUNCULARA ÖNEMLİ HATIRLATMA
Current PS4 players will continue to have access to the game until the dates specified above. However, HoYoverse recommends that players transfer their accounts to PC, PlayStation 5, or mobile devices (iOS / Android) to ensure uninterrupted gameplay. Account portability is becoming increasingly standard as game ecosystems expand across multiple platforms.
The company also announced that minimum system requirements for PC and mobile platforms will be increased with the “Song of the Welkin Moon” update, coinciding with the end of PS4 support.
