Cardiothoracic Surgeon Identifies 5 Daily Habits Linked to Increased Longevity

A board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon says incorporating five daily habits – exercise, a mindful diet, rest and recovery, meaningful relationships, and sauna/heat therapy – can demonstrably increase lifespan and improve overall health.

Dr. Jeremy London, MD, with over 25 years of clinical experience, outlined the habits in a social media post yesterday, November 4, 2025. He emphasized that exercise is the most impactful, specifically a combination of strength and aerobic training. “Be mindful about what you put in your mouth: protein, fibre, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This is truly the information that you give every cell in your body,” Dr. London stated regarding the importance of diet.
