“The Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) of the East Java Provincial PSSI has issued a severe penalty of a lifetime ban from football activity to Putra Jaya Pasuruan Club player, Muh. Hilmi Gimnastiar (NPG 23),” a statement released by PS Putrajaya read.

“Considering the serious impact caused, and to provide a deterrent and learning experience for other players, the East Java PSSI Disciplinary Committee has imposed an additional penalty of a lifetime ban from football activity on the individual.”

The PSSI East Java committee cited visible scarring on the chest of Perseta Tulungagung player Firman Nugraha as a key factor in their decision. Medical assessments indicated the injury sustained from Hilmi Gimnastiar’s challenge could have long-term consequences for Firman.

Hilmi’s actions were deemed a case of violent conduct, violating Article 48 in conjunction with Article 49 of the PSSI Code of Discipline. He also breached Articles 10 and 19 of the 2025 PSSI Code of Discipline.

Prior to the ruling, Hilmi Gimnastiar had already been dismissed by his club. The uncontrolled emotional outburst ultimately derailed his career, marking a swift and decisive end to his time with Putra Jaya Pasuruan.
