A hockey legend has come out of retirement, signing with his former club after losing motivation to continue playing last season.

The veteran is already expected to be available for Sunday’s game against Stjernen.

“I’ve been wanting to play again for a while now, and now it’s worked out with my job and with the club,” Arnestad said in a team statement. “It was a natural opportunity to seize.”

He expressed his excitement at returning to the ice.

“It’s great to be back in the locker room and see the guys,” Arnestad said. “I’ve been welcomed very warmly. I’ve been practicing on the ice for a while now, and it’s been a great experience.”

Arnestad has played over 1,000 games for the club over a 20-year career, becoming a beloved figure for fans.

Club Officials Thrilled with Signing

Nick Dineen, the club’s general manager, expressed his delight with the signing.

“We are very happy to have Eidsa back,” Dineen said in a team statement. “His experience and leadership will be important in stabilizing a young team as we head towards the end of the season.”

“We’re adding both quality and security,” Fosse said. “Not just on the ice, but also in practice.”

The club’s next game is against Stjernen on December 28th – potentially with Arnestad back on the ice.
