Affordable Housing Lottery Opens for 144 Units in East New York, Brooklyn
A housing lottery is now open for 144 affordable units at Concern Logan, a new development located at 467 Logan Street in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn.
The building offers a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Income eligibility requirements range from 30% to 130% of the Area Median Income (AMI), with monthly rents starting as low as $498. Applications are being accepted online through November 7, 2024. This new housing is a critical component of addressing New York City’s ongoing affordable housing shortage.
Concern Logan is a 14-story building featuring amenities including a community room, fitness center, and outdoor recreation space. The development is managed by Concern for Independent Living, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing supportive housing. For those seeking further information on affordable housing options in New York City, resources are available through the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
“We are excited to offer these much-needed affordable homes to the East New York community,” said a representative from the development team. Interested applicants can learn more and apply through the Housing Connect portal.
Officials stated that selected applicants will be contacted for an interview and further processing, with lease signings expected to begin in early 2025.
