The prospective matchups, which would provide valuable international experience for the Indonesian squad, were initially indicated by the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI).
Bulgarian media outlets first reported the news, stating that Bulgaria will participate in the FIFA Series in Indonesia alongside Saint Kitts and Nevis.

“The participation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the group has also been confirmed. An official announcement for Bulgaria and one other participating country is expected to follow shortly.”
Saint Kitts and Nevis have already confirmed their participation in the series.
“Saint Kitts and Nevis will participate in the FIFA Series 2026 scheduled to be held in Indonesia, marking another significant milestone for the nation’s senior men’s football program,” stated the S.K.N FA.
“The matches in Indonesia are expected to contribute significantly to the team’s growth, experience, and opportunities for our players to showcase their talent around the world.”
Greece and the Solomon Islands have also emerged as potential participants in the FIFA Series hosted in Indonesia.
Indonesia is one of the host nations for the 2026 FIFA Series, a bi-annual invitational tournament entering its second edition. The matches are scheduled for next March.
Arya Sinulingga, a member of the PSSI Executive Committee, previously hinted at potential opponents for the Indonesian national team, suggesting profiles similar to Bulgaria and Greece.
“Hopefully a big country. It seems from Europe, definitely with a ranking under 100,” Sinulingga said recently.
Bulgaria currently sits at number 88 in the latest FIFA rankings, while Greece is ranked 46th.
