Indonesia’s Women’s National Team demonstrated resilience Wednesday evening, overcoming an early deficit to secure a 2-1 victory over Nepal in a friendly match held at Maguwoharjo Stadium in Sleman, DI Yogyakarta. The match served as crucial preparation for Indonesia as they continue building momentum under the direction of coach Satoru Aragaki [[2]]. Indonesia’s Women’s National Team secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Nepal in a friendly match Wednesday evening, showcasing a resilient comeback performance.

The match, played at Maguwoharjo Stadium in Sleman, DI Yogyakarta, saw Marsela Yuliana Awi miss an early scoring opportunity.

Marsela was unable to convert a clear one-on-one chance, sending her shot just wide of the Nepal goal.

Nepal broke the deadlock in the 20th minute, taking a 1-0 lead. Vivi Oktavia Riski was unable to prevent a goal from a corner kick, as a header found the back of the net.

Indonesia came close to leveling the score shortly after. A free kick from Sheva was initially saved by the Nepal goalkeeper, but Reva’s follow-up attempt was blocked, and the rebound was secured before an Indonesian forward could capitalize.

Indonesia responded after halftime, with Gea Yumanda equalizing the score at 1-1. Following a corner kick, the Nepal goalkeeper made a save, but Gea was there to powerfully volley the rebound into the net.

The winning goal came in the 67th minute, again courtesy of Gea Yumanda. Ayunda Dwi made a driving run down the right side, unleashing a shot that was initially saved, but Aulia Al Mabruroh was on hand to smash home the rebound.

Aulia’s first attempt was blocked, but she quickly followed up, sending her second shot into the top corner of the Nepal goal, giving Indonesia a 2-1 advantage. The score held until the final whistle.
