Innsbruck: 16-Year-Old Injured in Traffic Accident

Innsbruck, Austria – A 16-year-old girl was injured Saturday afternoon after being struck by a car in Innsbruck. The incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on Schützenstraße, where traffic was stopped at a red light. As a 20-year-old driver attempted to maneuver around the line of vehicles, the teenager entered the roadway, reportedly trying to catch a tram.

According to police, the vehicle struck the girl head-on, sending her flying into a parked car. She then fell to the street. The injured teenager was conscious and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. (TT.com)
