Apple Launches M4-Powered iPad Air in Indonesia, Bridging the Performance Gap
Apple has officially expanded the availability of its latest iPad Air to the Indonesian market, introducing a device powered by the M4 chip. The new tablet is positioned as a significant leap in versatility and speed, aiming to provide a high-performance experience while maintaining the same starting price as its predecessor.
The integration of the M4 chip brings substantial upgrades to the iPad Air’s core architecture. With a faster CPU and GPU, the device is specifically optimized for demanding tasks such as gaming and professional video editing. This performance boost is underpinned by a faster Neural Engine and improved memory bandwidth, featuring integrated system memory that is 50 percent larger than the previous generation.
According to Apple, the performance gains are measurable across generations: the M4-powered iPad Air is up to 30 percent faster than the M3 model and delivers speeds up to 2.3 times faster than the iPad Air equipped with the M1 chip. This surge in processing power signals Apple’s commitment to narrowing the “productivity gap,” positioning the tablet as a more viable alternative for those seeking laptop-class performance in a portable form factor.
Beyond raw processing power, Apple has overhauled the device’s connectivity. The new iPad Air utilizes the latest Apple silicon connectivity chips, the N1 and C1X, which enable faster wireless and cellular connections. Notably, the hardware now supports Wi-Fi 7, ensuring users can maintain high-speed connectivity for creative and professional workflows regardless of their location.
To accommodate different user needs, the iPad Air is available in two sizes: a highly portable 11-inch model and a larger 13-inch version for those requiring more screen real estate for multitasking. Both models are offered in four distinct colors.
The hardware is paired with the capabilities of iPadOS 26, which Apple describes as bringing significant changes to the user experience.
